During this workshop, you will learn what life-course models are and how to apply these in longitudinal datasets.
Briefly, this approach is used to investigate whether an association between an exposure and outcome exists at certain time points during the life-course
*Dr Geeske Peeters is a Senior Research Fellow with the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine,
Monash University, Melbourne. She also holds an adjunct position with the School of Public Health at the University of Queensland, Brisbane. Her research interests are in the area of musculoskeletal health and ageing, in particular the prevention of falls and functional decline. She has worked with several established population-based cohort studies, including linkage with administrative data such as the Australian Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme and the Australian Orthopaedics Association National Joint Replacement
Registry. Geeske currently visits The University of Nottingham on an Arthritis Research UK Centre for Sport, Exercise and Osteoarthritis Fellowship.
