Arthritis Research UK Clinical Research Fellowship round: deadline Wednesday 20 January 2016

Arthritis Research UK are pleased to announce the launch of our Clinical Research Fellowship scheme for 2016. These are competitive fellowships to encourage clinicians into an academic research career in any field concerned with the treatment of arthritis and related musculoskeletal diseases (including general practice and surgery). 

These awards are open to medical graduates, usually during speciality training, and aim to provide an opportunity for training in clinical and/or laboratory research techniques leading to a higher degree (usually a PhD). The project must demonstrate clear relevance to the aims of Arthritis Research UK and we would like to encourage applications which are aligned with our new 5 year strategic focus on improving the quality of life of people with arthritis. 

Awards are normally for 3 years and are not renewable. We also encourage applications for shorter duration awards from candidates who have already secured part funding towards a PhD. Due to funding regulations, applicants must be based in the UK.
