Centre Director speaks at the 1st ASEAN Sports Medicine Conference

The 1st ASEAN Sports Medicine Conference 2015 followed shortly after the 10 member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) signed a statement to set up a regional economic block akin to the EU.

The conference covered topics including hydrations for endurance sport, an update on performance enhancing methods, dietary advice to athletes and, important to the Arthritis Research UK Centre for Sport, Exercise and Osteoarthritis, a session looking at injury prevention programmes and their likely success.

This conference followed Professor Batt acting as External Examiner to the University of Malaya Sport and Exercise Medicine Trainee examinations.
