Jo Adams speaks at Portsmouth's Cafe Scientifique

Jo Adams was an invited guest speaker at Portsmouth's Cafe Scientifique. The national organisation www.cafescientifique.org serves as an informal forum to discuss a wide range of science and technology initiatives – delivered in relaxed cafe settings in the evening.

Jo was asked to present her work on hand osteoarthritis and the use of orthotics in the treatment of hand pain.

A diverse audience provided stimulating debate and discussion afterwards with people also volunteering to become patient and public research engagement partners for the Arthritis Research UK Centre for Sport, Exercise and Osteoarthritis' research projects.
