Legacy Giving team host an update event for supporters
Arthritis Research UK Legacy Giving team visited Ely, Cambridgeshire, on 27 March to update supporters on how their donations can make a difference.
Professor Eleftheria Zeggini gave a fascinating talk on her research into the genetic causes of osteoarthritis. Her study, funded by Arthritis Research UK, could provide greater understanding into how osteoarthritis develops and progresses.
Guests were able to put questions to Professor Zeggini and meet our chief executive officer, Liam O’Toole. A range of information leaflets was also available.
This was the first Legacy Giving event of 2014, and the team will be hosting more across the country throughout the year.
The next event will be held in Southampton on 12 June 2014. Attendees will have a unique opportunity to hear from Professor Maria Stokes, whose pioneering work is investigating living with arthritis, ways of preventing joint damage and healthy aging.
Please contact Theresa Stanworth on t.stanworth@arthritisresearchuk.org or 07772 111093 for more information about the Southampton event or any future events.
